Nation of Islam Supports BRAVE Cave Victims at City Council
BATON ROUGE, LA — Members of Muhammad Mosque No. 65 of the Nation of Islam stood in solidarity with victims of police violence and their families during a critical Baton Rouge City Council meeting where low settlement offers related to the BRAVE Cave scandal were discussed.
Sister Mona Hardin, mother of Ronald Greene—who died at the hands of Louisiana State Police—was present to support families affected by police misconduct. Brothers from the Fruit of Islam (F.O.I.) attended alongside her, ensuring her safety and standing in unity with all those seeking justice.
The evening before the council meeting, the brothers participated in a dinner held for families impacted by police violence. Their presence at the gathering was not only a gesture of support but a reaffirmation of the Nation of Islam’s ongoing commitment to justice and community healing.
Also in attendance at the council meeting was Attorney Ryan Thompson, Attorney for several BRAVE Cave victims. The brothers of Mosque No. 65 stood with him as he addressed the council and called for meaningful accountability and fair compensation.
The Nation of Islam remains dedicated to supporting those fighting for justice and truth in Baton Rouge and beyond.
